Kanev Museum-Reserve Shevchenko Taras Grigoryevich in Ukraine. The exposition begins with a story about the childhood and youth of the poet. The hard life of the disadvantaged people, in particular the family of T. Shevchenko, his bleak childhood and youth are reflected in the works of many famous artists.

In many poetic works the poet reflected the past of the Ukrainian people, his life and customs.
The period of exile of T. Shevchenko (1847-1857) is widely covered in the museum. Contrary to the prohibition to write and draw, the poet created a large number of highly artistic works at that time.
A lot of attention is paid to the history of the reserve. At the stand there is a photo of the first Shevchenko museum organized by the house of the grave finisher I. Yadlovsky, valuable materials about visiting the reserve by famous cultural figures. In the center of the exposition – the statement of 8. I. Lenin on the prohibition of Tsarism honoring the memory of Kobzar, the article from the “Right Smoke, in which a high appreciation of Shevchenko’s creativity and his role in the revolutionary democratic movement.
In the section “T. G. Shevchenko and Modernity “presents materials on the importance of Shevchenko’s creativity for the development of Ukrainian Soviet literature and literature of other peoples of the USSR, about the wide celebration of Shevchenko’s anniversaries. Particular attention is drawn to publications of the poet’s works not in the languages of the peoples of the world. The exhibition ends with a large map of the world under the motto: “The folk path will not grow here forever”
After visiting the museum, excursionists continue to familiarize themselves with the reserve. They examine an oak grove planted in honor of the Shevchenko jubilees, the apple tree “The memory of Shevchenko, bred by Professor S.
